206 1.4GLX brake noise09 Aug 2004 20:10 GMT2
Can anyone explain an intermittent noise (sounds like noise you get when
blowing across the top of an empty bottle) when applying the brakes on this
car?  Only seems to occur when car has been running for a few miles and it
doesn't always occur.   The brakes are clean and pads are ...

Every morning my 1996 Peogeot 406 is difficult to start. After three or
four long goes it does get going. After that it will cut out sometimes
when I stop at lights and it goes down to an idle. It has a new set of

Dumb and dumber - the 307 exhaust saga continues09 Aug 2004 15:20 GMT4
307 went in at last for creaking rear door, new glovebox lid (old one's
handle snapped off) and, for the - I lose count - fourth attempt, I think,
to fix the squeaking, clunking exhaust.
They didn't have the part they needed for the exhaust.
dumb09 Aug 2004 12:50 GMT25
Potentially dumb question here, but bear with me. I'm a newbie at the
car-buying business, at least in the UK.
I've been looking at a Pug 306 GTi. Nice car. R reg, with the leather/suede
interior (not the leather/curtain fabric which is more option), at a good
Peugeot 306 air conditioning and coolant09 Aug 2004 12:14 GMT4
Sorry if this is noddy stuff for you guys, but I don't know if my car has a
problem or not.  When I use the aircon on my 306 for any length of time, I
notice water dripping from beneath the car neat the engine bulkhead.  I'm
not certain whether its engine coolant (tho' the coolant ...
photocard driving licence09 Aug 2004 09:48 GMT6
I recently received my first photocard licence.
It is a credit sized card, so it looks like it should be kept in the
wallet. Yet it says that the paper licence and the card should be kept
together. So, is it meant to carry, or leave at home with the paper
Pug 106 Glowplugs08 Aug 2004 23:42 GMT1
When I pressure washed the engine (1.5 diesel) I must have damaged or

dashboard stays off, and the engine is reluctant to start from cold.
Where is the fuse for the glowplugs? And is there any ...

Broken Keyfobs07 Aug 2004 12:00 GMT5
I have engineered a simple fix to the common "keyfob drains battery in
48 hours" problem that affects at least a lot of 306 owners and
perhaps owners of other models.
I discovered that an afflicted keyfob was drawing 4mA with no buttons
405 1.8i coolant problem - help please06 Aug 2004 23:21 GMT4
All the coolant fell out of the engine today!
It turns out that the short stub of metal pipe that protrudes from the
thermostat housing (not the top cover) has corrodes to nothing. It looks to
be a 20mm diameter pipe about 40mm long with a rubber hose going to the

I have a 1987 1.6 CTi and it has black and red leather seats. Black
bolsters (outers) and red centres, both front and rear. Does anyone know
if this is a standard interior for a CTi or has it been transplanted from
something more special than a CTi. Never seen it before ????????
