Today i took my car to a PEU dealer in Malta to fix the flashing light

Peugeot have re-designed the 307 oil sensor (entirely new part number) and
claim that it fixes the intermittent low oil warning problem that plagues
many 307s. My dealer (Castles, Leicester) have ordered one for me.
I'm not holding my breath.
