Diesel Cats, can they become clogged?16 Sep 2004 21:17 GMT12
My HDI 90 (actually in a Xsara) doesn't want to rev over 4000, and the fuel
consumption is rather worse than I had expected. It pulles really well at
lower revs, far better than the 1.9 TD in my old 405.
It was serviced, according to the manual, 3000 miles ago by a main agent, so

just bought a 1998 4dr v6, driven it for 250miles and now the coolant
level light comes on from cold, flickers, then goes out after 1-2 mins.
Naturally I'd like to visually check the coolant level but can't seem to
see the expansion tank (seems to be tucked deep into the engine

I've got a 1998 406 glx auto with a warning light showing for the ABS. I've
sent it to a garage and they have checked the logs (whatever that means) and
they say there is nothing showing up. They say that the sensors are all
showing optimum readings apart from one which is just a ...

406 retaining pin keeps breaking13 Sep 2004 00:11 GMT5
Bear with me. This needs a bit of explaining.
On a 406, there is a large nut right at the end of the drive shaft which
is visible if you remove the wheel trim. There is a hole drilled through
the drive shaft, but the nut itself is not castellated. Instead, there
306 immobilizer conundrum12 Sep 2004 23:08 GMT1
I have a 306 ST 2.0 Sedan (i.e. a 306 XSI with a boot!), and it has
suddenley stopped working with a problem with the immobilizer programming
(or so the road side recovery man said).
The conundrum I have is whether to
gearbox code 13012 Sep 2004 20:41 GMT1
Was wondering if there are any Peugeot techs who might know what
transmission code 130 is on a 206 automatic 1.4 2001?
My scanner reads undocumented code. Even when cleared, the code returns
immediately.

I have a 97 2.1 TD and seem to have an electric fan fault - I just cant get
them to come on. (This is the GLX with climate control air con).
This model has 2 fans. Should they both come on together and vary speed
according to temp or should one come on supplemented by the other at ...

306 XTDT ATE caliper - guide pin removal08 Sep 2004 20:56 GMT7

Starter motor on 405TD08 Sep 2004 17:47 GMT6
On turning the ignition key to start there is often just a click. A few
goes will cause the starter to turn over and it isn't really a problem but
is this a sign of a starter problem or ignition switch or wiring/bad earth?
Any easy cures?
