Hello. My adventure with the remote control of my '99 406 hdi SW keeps on
going. New batery, the light in the key works fine, but no locking or
unlocking the door. Yesterday, after about 3 weeks without working (i use
my car everyday) it suddently started to work. I felt happy. ...

MECHANIC WANTED: Cheshire Area - Peugeot 205 - Either fix headgasket or swap for 106 or other TU series engine30 Jan 2005 17:49 GMT2
Can anyone recommend (or is actually one who wants the work!) a
garage/mechanic who can either fix my headgasket or perform an engine swap
of some description (either like-for-like with lower mileage or a TU series
engine from a 106/Saxo etc).

Have just bought one, and it came with three plips, but only one works. OK
so one had duff batteries, the other two seem to be OK (checked with a
voltmeter).
I tried the proceedure for progamming the two plips, and now the other one

I've got a peugeot 106d on 83,000 and i've been having lots of trouble

changed and have also been tested and are all working ok, also the fuel

peugeot 106 starting/stalling problem - arrgghh PLEASE help :(28 Jan 2005 21:46 GMT5
My girlfriend's 1996 (P) mk 2 (current shape) 106 has an incredibly annoying starting/low idle/stalling problem.
Occasionally it will start first time, but more often than not, it will start and then die instantly.  When it is running, it will idle incredibly low and, if you blip ...
306 Idle problems28 Jan 2005 21:35 GMT3
I have a 1997 P Reg 306 2.0 8V XSi. Runs like a dream, as fast as sh1t off a
shovel. but it has the dreaded idling problems.
I have now replaced with new parts: the stepper motor, engine temp sensor,
checked for air leaks, checked the MAP sensor, replaced the oxygen sensor
Have Peugeot learned any lessons with the 407?28 Jan 2005 20:04 GMT8
The 307 is almost famously badly built, as we all know. I wondered if
Peugeot, who must be somewhat embarrassed by the 307's reputation, have made
sure the 407 works properly. Any experiences so far? Should all those of us
who downsized from a 406 to a 307 be hinking about upsizing?
STOP Indicator28 Jan 2005 10:56 GMT9
I have never really known what is likely to cause the large STOP sign on the
dashboard of my 406 HDI 110 (1999) to come on.   The reason that I ask is
that today it flickered for a few seconds and a few minutes later flickered
again.   Since then it has stayed off and I have done ...

Hi, Came back to my car park today to see that some kind soul had nocked out
and badly cracked the mirror/glass of my drivers side wing mirror on my '98
406. The mirror has a thin black plastic back and a large circular wire clip
that looks like it holds the mirror in place tothe ...

CD on 406 suddenly stopped working27 Jan 2005 12:34 GMT3
I have a 406 Exec model with a 6 CD autochanger factory fitted in the boot.
It was working perfectly yesterday until I stopped the car for ten minutes.
On restarting the car, no CD input. In the boot, I cannot remove the CD
carrier and no leds are alight. I guess that the ...
