Can anyone tell me why my 406 2.2 HDI's lights dim for a fraction of a
second everytime I change gear, especially before the engine has fully
warmed up. I know of another 406 owner with the same problem, so i'm
guessing it's some sort of design foible.

headlights out to fit my new indicators..?

I have got Peugeot 406 1.8 16v 81kw, 62000km.
My cas is good running, good idle, no mistakes on garage
inspection....everything good......
but....When I change a gear from first to second (and from 3 to 4 but

Water is dribbling through the drivers ultra sonic (down the pillar). Where
would should a leak be coming from, and anyone know how to stop it?

I've finally decided to get my arse in gear and get my 205Dturbo
intercool'd.  I've now got the main bits sorted (intercooler, manifold and
auto bonnet), just gotta get hold of some of the smaller bits.
I'm after some info though, specifically the amount of boost the standard

it's an 2003 hdi 90 only done 14000 miles had it for about six months
faultless driving until today as i came to a stop at some traffic lights the
car started to idle so badly it almost cut out (car shaking) so i switched
of the ignition and tried to restart the car about 15-20 ...

I have today decided foolishly to take a look at my intermittant fan problem
and funny click, click, click, whirr sound that the recirc switch makes.
I fixed the fan issue (again), but the recirc thingy..... I took
(Eventually) the whole glovebox section out from underneath the ...

I have an L-Reg Peugeot 405.  The other day, I needed to access the
boot and during the normal process of inserting my key, turning and
pushing the release button, the key stuck in place.  The key is
inserted fully and will not come out.  Nor will it turn left or right.

Please, can anybody give me advice on the following:
I own a 309 (1989), and my heaterfan recently started to make funny noises.
It turned out that there was no lubrication what so ever on the axel from
the little motor. No problem so far... that I took care of.

stations, but if I put on a cassette you can listen to it without any
crackling. Could it be a loose wire, how can I trace the wire to find out if
this is what's wrong, or could it be caused by this weather, ...

If you're (eg) setting the valve clearences or something which requires
turning the engine manually, should you turn it the same way or the
opposite way to its normal direction of rotation?

I have a Peugeot 206 diesel and the service log suggests a service is
required every 5000m. I've been doing this for the last 20000 miles that
I've owned the car. Arnold Clark (who have my service contract) would not do
one at 60000 miles as they say the service interval is 12000 ...
