Up preformance19 Jan 2005 13:05 GMT6
Hi again,
A less urgent question but, I was wondering if anyone knows of something I
can do to my 2.1td 406(97) to make it preform better. It's quite nippy but
could be better. It's a bit of a slug in 1st gear which I know is the norm
Luck warm heater19 Jan 2005 13:04 GMT4
I have a 406 2.1td 97. It has a digital AC system but takes quite a while
to warm up let alone get hot! I put it on 30 to get it to warm up but it
takes ages and sometimes doesn't! The AC works fine when set to cold but
the heaters are seriously underpreforming. The fans all work ...
406  door lubrication problem19 Jan 2005 12:47 GMT1
The hinge mechanism on my 406, 1997, rear offside door makes the most
revolting noise when I try to close it. It also requires considerable force
and sounds about to snap. I have tried every possible way to lubricate it,
particularly with an aerosol spray, but it seems to be ...

405 Front seat swap?19 Jan 2005 11:13 GMT3
The driver's seat on my 405 estate is getting a bit tired.
Is it possible to swap driver's and passenger seats, including moving
the controls from left to right as the central console would get in the
way otherwise?
406 Door Lubrication Problem19 Jan 2005 10:56 GMT1
The rear offside door of my 1997, 406, practically refuses to close because
the door retainer (when one opens it), not the hinge, is obviously
desperately in need of lubrication but nothing I do, including aerosols,
will seem to reach it. Can anyone please help?

205 bleed nipple18 Jan 2005 16:44 GMT5
Anyone know what size spanner I need to undo this with? 10mm is too big,
so is it 8 or 9mm.
Would I be wasting my time using anything other than a specialist brake
spanner? From personal experience, what's the likelihood of them shearing
peuget customer/reclamation service18 Jan 2005 14:09 GMT1
If anybody knows e-mail and/or fax number of Peugeot customer service, I
have a huge reclamation, but in my country (Croatia) there is no such a

Boxer17 Jan 2005 16:37 GMT2
I have a Peugeot Boxer 1994 MWB 2.5 diesel, when I turn off the
ignition the engine continues to run even if I remove one of the
battery leads the engine still runs. The only way to stop the engine
is to stall it. Also when the ignition is in the off position the oil
A couple of 306 issues...17 Jan 2005 15:11 GMT2
On a 1997 Pug 306 1.4 Style I have the following problems:
1. Occasionally when going over speed bumps or 'near lethal' pot holes in
the road, a thump sound comes from the front passenger side - it sounds like
the bumper thumping, but theres not a single scratch mark on the bottom ...

OK, citroen ZX TD volcane - fire it up, almost immediately revs
through the ceiling and wont shut off for a few seconds after the key
is turned. Any ideas? I'm pretty lame when it comes to diesels, so im
at a loss. Ive had the suggestion that it might be the fuel pump - i
405 1.9 L Petrol (XU9 engine) leaking water17 Jan 2005 11:49 GMT6
My daughter's 405 is leaking water and apparently from behind the plastic
cover over the timing belt.  All I can see from the workshop manual is that
the water pump may be the cause.  There doesn't appear to be any welch (core)
plugs in that area.  Can anyone confirm/deny the ...
