OK, this is annoying me now.  I had my air-con regassed not 12 months ago,
and it has never been right.  It blows warm.  I called up the guy again and
he came round.  Attached his meter and there is no shortage of gas!   No
leaks either.

I have a late 2002 ('52) 406 GLX HDI 110 Auto estate.  Have to say its a
lovely car, lovely to drive and a damn good work horse, just sadly it never
seems to know where it is....  As in the built in SatNav system doesn't seem
to work properly.

Hi I have a P reg 106 wich I have passed on to my daughter,  she tried to
enter the wrong immobiliser code more than once locking the immobiliser out.
I have dissconected the battery and reconected but when I punch in the right
code the green light comes on but the red light stays ...

My 1998 306 clarion radio casette has "locked up" - the radio is at
full volume, stuck on 1 sation. No buttons respond.
I have removed the fuse - replacing it 12 hours later makes no
difference.

I've just noticed that the left-hand outer CV joint boot on my 1993 306 has
split, throwing grease all around the rear of the hub.
I was wondering if anyone has successfully replaced the outer boot on a 306
without removing the driveshaft from the car, and hence avoiding draining

Care to speculate as to it`s location ?
Apparently on the rear of cylinder block, but I`ll be buggered...etc

406 1.9 TD. Often they are shown to cover 406 D8 or D9 what models are
these.

I have a 406 Estate GLX Automatic - late 2002.
3 times over the last week or so it has come up with 'Automatic Gear
Fault' - at the same time the 'Sport' light and 'Snow' light start
flashing - it feels as though it's stuck in 3rd gear, i.e. little

Hope someone can help with this, I have an M Reg 306 XNDT and when
stuck in traffic in hot weather the STOP light comes on. I've found
that the cooling fans aren't working and that is why the ligh comes on.
I've checked the fuses and at also earthed the thermo switch connector

Recent queries on 406 clicking noises and driver's window and
air-bag-light problems prompt me to remind everyone to search the group
before lodging queries. Doing this simply saves time. Rather than wait
until someone gets around to responding you can have your problem

Fitted a new fuel filter some time ago and now need to do the 6000 mile
"drain water from fuel filter".
Found a piece of plastic tube that fitted the draincock and then turned the
screw anticlockwise.

I have a 106 (K Reg) and the amber warning light has just started to come
on.  Can someone please tell me what this means and what I need do.  I
