Has anybody had any experience of reading out fault codes for a 406 Hdi year
2000 using any of the cheaper aftermarket codereaders that are starting to
become available in the DIY market . Are they compatible ?

I have a 306 XLD no turbo, after mindwipe saved my life with the keypad
problem I now have another. The engine idles at 1500 revs. I have adjusted
all that is obvious but it still over revs? Also the rev counter bounces
all over the place although I suspect I have not fitted it back ...

does anyone know of a way of bypassing the diesel inj pump immobiliser pump
code.Even if you take the casing of the back of the pump and cut the single
wire and give it 12v, it wont rev just idle. Spoke to puegeot and they say
68 +vat to reprogramme the code!!! Any help with getting ...

Draining the fuel filter
When trying to do this no fuel/water came out, it just let air in.
Not being used to diesels is this normal or a fault in the filter?
There is no pipe fitted on the stub, has this anything to do with this?

My 2 litre 406 GTX auto has just started to idle rough. Its also lumpy at a
cruise speed, ie with little throttle. If I floor the pedal it clears until
i back off to cruise again. It will drive like that for about a mile then
