406 Diesel Estate07 Nov 2005 10:38 GMT8
A friend has lent me a 406 saloon petrol on an S plate, done
167,000 miles. I am so impressed with this car that I am
thinking about a 406 diesel  estate on a 02 or 03 plate. I
wonder could any of you Peugeot owners give any thoughts on
Wanted: 205 parcel shelf parts (NOT the shelf)06 Nov 2005 21:10 GMT1
How embarassing. The bits that hold my 205 parcel shelf up are starting to
crumble away, I need two things.
1) the little piece of string for one side that holds the shelf up - the
clip on the end of it that goes inside the shelf has snapped :-|

306 1.9 td 95 - handbrake warning light03 Nov 2005 23:45 GMT2
As of about 3 days ago, the handbrake warning light has started to come on
when braking ( slightly down hill ) when approaching a set of lights. A
quick google seems to imply that brake fluid levels are running low. I've
checked this and the levels are near the max level. can anyone ...
406 indicator cancellation problem03 Nov 2005 20:44 GMT4
Has anyone else found that the self cancelling on 02 406's is awful? It is
impossible to keep indicating as you approach junctions unless the road is
totally straight, as even the lightest adjustment on the steering cancels
them, and it is a hell of a job forcing them back on ...

Peugeot 406 V6 auto problem03 Nov 2005 11:31 GMT8
1. When starting to accelerate from a low speed up an incline in the
road (economy mode), and just when you'd expect a gearbox to hold that
gear for the climb, the auto gearbox in my car usually changes up to a
higher gear. This means the resulting acceleration is very poor.  It is
306 XSI Engine Cutting Out / Over Revving03 Nov 2005 09:59 GMT8
I have a 97 phase 2 XSI which has been causing me some grief with the tick
over.
Completely randomly the revs when idling will go back and forth from
800rpm to 1600rpm and unless I blip the throttle will cut out.      The
car misses/misfires/coughs in low gears on first use!?02 Nov 2005 10:18 GMT1
306 sedan sr 1.8 petrol.  When i start the car it just seems to cough
and miss when i set off in say 1st or 2nd gear. It does it alot when i
put the foot right  down on the gas, if i take my foot off a bit it
starts to pick up, then goes fine. its as if it flooding it with
406 V6 Auto changing gears at slow speeds01 Nov 2005 10:50 GMT5

accelerate again, often I time this acceleration to coincide with the
gearbox's changing, resulting in a nasty clunk. That is, just as it
