HELP! Clarion radio31 Jan 2006 22:50 GMT3
Hi, I left my lights on while at work about half a year ago; clever me
I know. Needless to say the battery went dead and I had to jump start
it.
The radio was asking for my code, so I put in the code I had; which had
Cambelt replacement31 Jan 2006 20:44 GMT5
Been quoted 'about' £150 to change cambelt on 90 hdi (It's a Xantia but
there's no useful newsgroup for thems-and the engine will be familiar to
Pugs).That about the right price?

Petrol in diesel 1.9TDi :(31 Jan 2006 19:59 GMT16
My better-half put £20 of unleaded in my 1998 406 1.9TDi yesterday!
Luckily she did not start the car as she realised what she had done in time.
Is there any way to drain the tank in-situ on my car or is it a case of the
fuel tank has to come out to be emptied? I can't see a drain ...

Immobiliser Issue 40629 Jan 2006 23:46 GMT13
Hi;
I recently bought a 406 GLX 2.0 petrol from an auction. The thing is that
the previous owners made it so that the High frequency key fob (the one
with two buttons) deactivated the immobiliser which is fine for now. What

Hi Guys, I have a  Peugeot 406 S 110 bhp estate which is on its 3rd Sat Nav

407 SW Air Conditioning crashes29 Jan 2006 16:58 GMT1
I have a Feb-2005 407SW S 1.8 that has a recurring problem. Has anyone
else seen this as it's driving me nuts.
Sometimes, more frequently in icy conditions, the A/C (air conditioning)
will effectively crash on starting the car. The symptoms are as follows.
Sat Nav Question28 Jan 2006 21:49 GMT5
A friend has a much newer 406 than my old bus and he has the Sat Nav
installation (mine doesn't even have a compass or a sextant).   Recently his
has developed an intermittent problem which is displayed as "Error reading
drive....".   On computers this usually translates as "the ...

Please can someone tell me which Peugeot models use the 2 litre diesel
engine jointly developed by Ford and PSA
I know Ford call it a Duratorq and TDCi and use it in the Cmax and new
Focus.
Software download28 Jan 2006 14:48 GMT6
'Techy' question
What is the difference between the 90bhp and the 110bhp 2.0 lt HDI apart
from 20bhp ( I bet I beat someone to the clever dick answer)
Having read a bit about 'power chips' etc is it just a software change ?

206 Noise from supension27 Jan 2006 18:30 GMT9
My other halfs 52 plate 206 1.9HDi (~53K) has started to make a noise,
best described as being like hitting a thick cast iron pipe with a soft
faced mallet(!) when going over bumps/potholes. Sounds like its coming
from the rear suspension but doesn't do it every time or when there ...
306 wiring loom problem - car written off!27 Jan 2006 10:15 GMT10
Long story short.....my mum's W reg 306 developed a fault with the rear
wind screeen wiper (kept blowing fuses in the main fuse box). She took
the the car a local Peugeot garage, who carried out a "dignostic check"
and said the motor in the wiper had gone and needed replacing. ...
406 Service - now AntiPollution Faults26 Jan 2006 16:25 GMT1
Ive just changed my Air, Diesel, and Oil Filter as well as my Oil.
Now when I am driving along and put my foot on the break pedal I get the
Engine Block symbol coming on with the message "AntiPollution Fault".
As soon as I take my foot off the break pedal everything is fine again.
206cc door 25 Jan 2006 19:38 GMT5
Has anyone come across a 206cc drivers door hitting the front panel when
opening? My daughters 206cc's door caught on the front panel when she opened
the door and damaged the wing. Peugeot deny that it is a build/warranty
problem and she now faces a £1000 bill or claiming on ...
