I'm in the process of replacing the head on a 106 - 1st time for me, so please bear with me :) Because of the way the engine failed, I was unable to get it to TDC and fix all the sprockets so I'm having to do it after the event. This

My first Peugeot was a brand new 504 in the early 70s. Since then I've had a 505 and I currently have a 406 SV. I often see 504s still operating - I am in Australia - and now, as the 407s begin to appear in this group, I am prompted to ask:

I`m unable to remove the upper bolts on both the front drop links. They appear to be siezed with the bolt head recessed into the upper link such that spanners/sockets are unable to sit fully down. Now, as I see it I have two feasible options.

Can anyone tell me which clutch type I've got or tell me how to identify this? It's an S reg 1.9 turbo diesel GLX saloon. I've got a problem with excessive travel on the clutch pedal (I have to put the pedal to the floor to change gear) and a fair bit of play before it
