I run a 2.2HDI estate which has now done 72.000 in just over 3 years.
I like the car, it has not needed a lot of repairs but I wonder at
what age repairs will repairs start to become a regular matter. I have
already changed the cambelt, had the pollution filter topped up and
406 HDi fan going bonkers22 Apr 2006 21:28 GMT1
I've just (three days ago) bought a 406 HDi (90) GLX (X reg) to handle
my 100 mile round trip commute to work.  On the way to work there are
no problems, but on the return journey, about 10 miles from home, the
fan starts up and runs constantly at pretty high rate.

I was wondering if anyone knew the details of the design team of the
309?
I understand it's a bastardised Talbot/Simca/Peugeot model but I would
still be curious to know who was responsible for it.. (not in a

get some brake fluid.  The type seems to vary depending on whether you
have TU or XU engine.  How do I tell which it is?  (UK)

Need help ;)19 Apr 2006 14:33 GMT2
Maybe some of you remember me asking a question a few weeks ago regarding
fixing the faulty display on my '96 406. Seems like the displays on the
"older" models have a lot of probs. However, in the meantime untill I get
the display fixed or replaced ($$), maybe some of you can ...
Peugeot UK plant shutting down19 Apr 2006 13:33 GMT4
Whilst I have an intense dislike for Peugeot UK's complete incompetence
and utter disregard for their customers, it is a shame that the UK is
losing yet another car plant, which will have a bad effect on the
Midlands and lots of smaller companies that rely on Peugeot's business.
No drain plug?! (306 HDi)19 Apr 2006 10:03 GMT7
Has anyone changed the coolant on their 306? I tried...but I can't find
a drain plug on the rad. Also, the Haynes manual mentions having to
drain the engine block seperately.
Any help appreciated!
Do I have a gear problem?   307 1.4s (90) 200318 Apr 2006 22:26 GMT2
I have just recently purchased second hand a 307 1.4s (90) 2003.  I am not
sure if I have a problem as I have never driven a Peugeot before.   I have
noticed that the gear 1 & 2 are quite clunky to get into but 3, 4 & 5 are
nice a smooth and slide in without any force.

Team,
I need a relacement filter housing/primer for my 205D.
My Lucas/CAV unit is leaking air,  but the local replacements have the
primer at 45 deg,  this then fouls with the brake master cyclinder.

them, and the result was that the section of the vents at the back that
