307 HDI clunk rattle in back end ?18 Apr 2006 00:57 GMT1
Hi , My 2ltr Hdi 307 5 door hatch  3 year old, has developed a niggling
rattle clunk ,when on uneven roads.
I have checked the obvious Exhaust Wheel bearings/nut,spare wheel
arrangment etc but this one evades me,Possibillities are now the rear

everything was running fine until the other day, the car started fine
as usual and ran perfectly for about 30sec and then developed a very
loud knocking noise (sounds like its coming from no 1 cylinder area).
the car still drives as it should(done 127k) with no lack of power just

Has anyone changed the anciliary belt tensioner on a 406 2.1 diesel
with aircon, mine looks buggered and I'm just wondering if it's worth
trying to chenge myself.

Hi Group.
Dos anybody know what pressure a rad cap is for a pug 405 1992 1,9
diesel.i have found one in my shed it is a 13lb one and it is still in

Daughter is plagued with leaking windows on her 206CC. Dealer has
'fixed' it at least 3 times but still the same. The windows appear to
'click' into the rubber seal when the doors are closed and sometimes
they don't actually go in!

Had a series of problems with my 306 DTurbo (1995 3 door)....
For some time now I've not used the alarm due to it randomly going off.
Around that time I also experienced indicators sticking on after alarm
de-activation?  Still use key fob for locking though.

A fault has developed on my 406 hdi that makes the STOP light flash and
the beeper to sound whenever the a/c is switched on. Also a message
appears"Engine temperature too high". This can happen even when the
engine is cold. The temperature sensor has been changed but this makes

        Has anybody used Fully Synthetic in a Diesel engine? i would
only use this oil in petrol engines only.so please reply. if u have
used it and the diesel engine is still running.

I have a v reg 206 and recently attempted to install a 'ministry of
sound' cd player. The 206 had three iso connections, i presume one for
speakers,one for power etc and one for stalk control. I simply
disconnected the standard radio an plugged in my new one leaving the

I have a 2002 1.4 206 HDI that is to be serviced soon and am a little
confused about which type of oil it uses.  In the owners manual there
is a list of various recommended oils by esso, total, etc.. however at
the bottom in the small print it says "DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC BASED OIL

Just had to repalce the auxiliary belt for the second time on my 406
diesel. Started it up in work again the other day and it started making
some noises and on looking I noticed that the belt had moved over
towards the engine again and was rubbing against the engine.

It's diesel, 307SW, 5.000 miles only.
When I am turning steering wheel, I hear and feel a kind of clicking
noise every 360 degrees of steering wheel turn, no matter if turned
clock-wise or in opposite direction.
