406 3.0 V6 Auto noise06 Apr 2006 18:47 GMT4
My 406 V6 makes a noise which I originally thought came from the
automatic gearbox. It sounds like a mixture between a grating and a
groaning noise - very hard to describe accurately! It only starts up
after driving the car for a little while - usually it has kicked in
"CONNECT" msg on OEM Clarion Audio System (CD)06 Apr 2006 16:59 GMT2
Our 306 has a Clarion CDC634 changer in the boot. Following a minor tap in
the rear, it began to display a "CONNECT" msg on the display and eventually
gave up working. The cass & radio are fine as is the stalk controller.
We've just had the changer professionally repaired, and ...

Relief - 80705 Apr 2006 21:32 GMT2
That's it - the 807 has gone. Peugeot bought it back from us, after over
three years of abysmal reliability, too many faults to count (over 40
now!), incompetent repair attempts and a general thread throughout that
Peugeot thought I was being unreasonable in expecting a £23K car to ...

Any readers got experience of running this oil in an Hdi engine (1999 2ltr
DW10-TD unit).
It's a 5W-40 fully synthetic and naturally much better than value than my
dealer would supply for a forthcoming service.

Boot lock/catch problem02 Apr 2006 11:42 GMT4
All,
I have a 2002 406 that has a damaged boot lock. It was damaged by a
felon who thought he could pop the boot catch by giving the boot a thump
to the left of the lock. Little did he know that I had had the mod done
Starting issues on 806 HDi01 Apr 2006 23:01 GMT2
Has anyone any suggestion on the following problem. My 806 HDi will not
start. Having checked everything all seems OK. I then sprayed a small
amount of oil into the air intake and the engine started and ran fine.
Even when the engine was hot, once stopped it would not start until I
306 Diesel Smoke problem01 Apr 2006 13:48 GMT19
I've just had the glow plugs on my 306 changed and on picking it up have
