I have a long scratch on my car. The scartch is a fine deep line,
possibly made with the tip of a knife. I want to repair the scratch and
have tried T-Cut, but this made no difference.
I think the best way would be for me to apply a little paint with a

Hi can any one offer advise please. Have a 406 HDI 90 (51 plate),
85000 miles. The engine is running very lumpy at tick over but runs
sweet from there. Its not too good on fuel around 40mpg. Dealer says
its injectors but at £1000 its a lot of money to find its some thing

I've started to have a few problems with my 10 year old 106 in that it
seems to lose power when I first change gear and put my foot back on the
accelerator. It's only just started doing it but is becoming quite
annoying.

had car 4years no prob's.temp guage normally reads around 85 interior
heaters nice and hot, but today i drove car for about 15 mins and the temp
guage was only just over 70 and heaters not as hot as normal. i stopped car
and popped bonnet to check pipes. engine was warm pipes going ...

Can anyone tell me where the deisel filter is located on a 406 est HDI.
I have bought and chaged all the other filters but cannot locate the
fuel filter!!!

Hi, does anyone know of a method to replace a heater matrix on an l reg
106 kid 1.4 diesel without ripping apart half the dash in the process.
tried it at the scrappers the other week and resorted to a hammer!!
any help would be most appreciated

this has cost, so far, in the region of £250. . . and cost the garage about
the same again since they cant find the problem..my wife travels about 2
miles in the morning before the front o/s brake not only binds on, but
stops the car and has to stop, cool down for 15 mins then still ...

I'd like to replace my standard head unit with an MP3 compatible unit
(aftermarket) because the dealers want to charge an arm and a leg for the
standard MP3 compatible unit...anyone know what the easiest way to do this
is? Of course I want it to work with the standard stalk controls ...

Any idea which part of the headlamp I need to blank out to drive a UK car
on the continent ?
Other cars I've had had the flatter/traditional headlamp glasses whcih
were generally marked where you need to block it off, but on these great

Apologies if this has been asked before but where is it? Mine is saying 33C
at the moment which it plainly isn't. 1998 406 GLX 2.0 if it makes any
