Hi all. A friend of the wife's had a very nice man from the AA out today
when her car wouldn't start. He reckoned it was the glow plugs and they
needed replacing. She said he sprayed something (WD40 on the relay maybe?)
As the car is out of warranty, is this an easy DIY job, or ...

I've jsut bought a brand new 307 Sport, with what the manual describes
as an LD4 head unit with 5 CD changer.

I have a W reg 206. One day I was driving an as I put my foot on the
clutch
i heard a ratchet clicking sound on the pedal and could not get gears.
After pumping the pedal the clicking stopped and I got the gears again.

I have headlamp protectors on  my 1007 one of the two plastic clips has
broken I am told by dealers the clips are not avaliable as replacements. Has
anyone overcome the problem of  a broken clip.

     Having problems with starting in the mornings. When I turn the
ignition on the preheater lamp is not illuminated on dash and car will
not start. If I switch ingition on and off for a while then go and
make a cuppa when i return and turn on ignition preheater warning

This morning I have fitted a peugeot tow bar to my 206 sw (estate).
The last thing I have to do is to splice the 7 core cable into the
car's wiring loom - but I'm clueless as to which wires in the loom
does what...

I've just bought a 2002 307 SW which has a Blaupunkt radio and 5 cd
changer unit. I'd like to plug my Archos MP3 player into the unit if
this is possible. With my last car I did this by hooking a cable into
the AUX in on my head unit and even thought I couldn't see the tracks

    I've not been on the group for a while - my beloved 405 has been
behaving! Unfortunately it's now starting to get to the stage where I'm
trying to decide whether it's sensible to keep going or not - the bonus
is that it means that I'm learning a fair bit more about DIY ...

A friend has a 206cc Y reg which keeps cutting out. Ususally when
slowing down but can happen when on the open road too. Any clues
please??

Light cluster in rear door is not available as indicated in handbook -
there is no convenient flap in the inside
of door. How do I get to the cluster to change bulb?

My 2001 406hdi has been unused for a year. I charged the battery, put
a new battery in the key fob. Now the doors wont open at all, even
from inside ( the boot opens )
Can any one offer advice please

I've got a 1993 306 XTDT with 106000K on the clock.
I think it's suffering from the classic shot rear subframe mounts.
It is up in the air with wheels off and if I kick the hub assembly down
sharply there is a knocking noise.

When the engine is idle (not immediately after I turn it on) at about 700RPM
and even with AC turned off, the engine seems to lose RPMs in a fraction of
