Speedometer problem23 Mar 2007 00:12 GMT3
I have a 205 1.4 Forever from 1994. Runs like a dream!
But the speedometer has stopped working at all. I tried to remove the
speedometer cable today, and it seems to me like it's working fine (when
I rotate one end, the other end rotates accordingly).

I have a 1998 Peugeot 406 1.9 LX TD, and over the last few days it takes a

it just doesn't want to fire up.  I've recently had it serviced, and MOT'd,
Changing Radiator fan motor on 306 - How difficult ?21 Mar 2007 22:32 GMT2
One of the (two) fans on my 306 Meridian has expired. It squeaked, squealed,
and now it's dead.
Anyone know how awkward it is to replace ? The actual part seems quite
cheap.
Just been told my car isn't worth repairing, only bought it 2 weeks ago!  95 405 TD Estate20 Mar 2007 21:01 GMT16

valve cover leakage20 Mar 2007 17:26 GMT2
When I had my car (Partner 1.9D) done at the dealer for 45000 km service,
they said there is a slight leakage of the valve cover.
Now instead of paper of aluminum packing this seems to be sealed with some
sort of putty kit.

I was stopped at a red light (put my car into neutral) and when I went
to take off again and I put my car into 1st gear, but for some reason
it didn't click in. I tried a number of times and it still didn't
work. I had to eventually take off from 2nd gear (all other gears

Secondhand 407 advice17 Mar 2007 08:37 GMT1
I am putting up this post for the benefit of the poor soul who buys
the first generation 407 I am about to have replaced. As a company car
