306 Bonnet catch misbehaving07 May 2007 12:15 GMT2
I have a '95 Peugeot 306 XSi with a bonnet catch that is
misbehaving. It's not 'catching' when I shut the bonnet, so it's only
the 'secondary catch' which is holding the bonnet down.
I've had a look at it and it may be an issue with the spring - which
205 1.9 GTI Rev limiter - is this normal?07 May 2007 00:04 GMT2
I've owned my 1991 non cat 1.9 GTI for about 9 months now and have
spent most of the last week sorting a handful of issues to get it
running better. This included having the injectors ultra sonically
cleaned, new HT leads, new spark plugs, rebuilt the dizzy (advance was
Three beeps06 May 2007 21:42 GMT3
Could someone please let me know what three short beeps relates to when I
turn the engine off? It doesn't do it every time, in fact it's random as to
when it does do it. No messages are displayed when the three beeps do occur.
This is on a 2002 plate 406 2.0ltr 16v.

The car is a Peugeot 306 1998, 1.4l petrol.  It has solid front discs
with (if I remember correctly) Bosch calipers (the one where you remove
1 bolt and it rotates upwards to reveal the pads)
I checked the front pads and discs last weekend and planned on changing
206 1.9D, performance OK?03 May 2007 18:39 GMT4
My daughter is interested in a 206 diesel. Either the 2.0HDI or the 1.9D.
Can anyone tell me what the 1.9D goes like? I know the HDI will perform
better, but she is not so interested in power.
She currently has an old 306 TD, so some idea of how the lighter 206 might

I've noticed that the nearside (left side when sitting in the car,
gearbox side so shorter driveshaft) CV gaiter/boot has got a small nick

the middle of a flat face.  The surrounding inch or two had a little
