Pug 306 - Lumpy idling when started + trip counter resetting27 Feb 2008 09:08 GMT20
Our Peugeot 306 1.4l petrol, 1998 version has just started (as in today)
idling quite lumpy once started - such that you feel it's going to
stall (or at least, can imagine that it might).
It's just passed 120,000, so is getting longer in the tooth.  Had it's
Coil spring snap on 406 Hdi25 Feb 2008 21:36 GMT4
I have a 1998 406 Hdi estate and my offside soil spring has just
snapped, luckily when I was pulling into a driveway at about 5 mph!
RAC guy said that suggested that he could see no other damage to the
tire or brake lines.  I am 'reasonably' technically minded and have
307 SW 1.6 HDi cooling fan goes until battery is dead25 Feb 2008 01:39 GMT1
This has happened a number of times over the last couple of weeks on my 2004
307 sw. Today I drove 10 miles and when I stopped I noticed that the cooling
fan was going at full speed when I have turned the ignition off. I thought
it would stop after a few moments but it only ...
407 Tyre Pressure Monitoring System22 Feb 2008 18:53 GMT14
Does anyone know how this works? I looked around the web - Wiki has a
good section - but could not find how the Peugeot system works.
Presumably there is some sort of sensor in each tyre?

Any help as to where I can obtain them would be appreciated.

Recommend an ECU code reader for Pug 306 1998 (UK)22 Feb 2008 16:20 GMT4
Can anyone recommend a suitable fault code reader for a Peugeot 306 1.4l
petrol (Equinox badge), originally purchased in 1998, August I think.
It's a UK model and is the new style.
It has the 'standard' OBD connector behind the internal fuse box (in the
Weld or not to weld?22 Feb 2008 13:35 GMT5
Had 2 tyres replaced today and when they took the old ones off they
found a small crack on the inside rim of one of them. These are 17"
TSW alloys which aren't made any more so no hope of getting a
replacement. New tyre seals fine but they told me I could get the
Cost of repair work query22 Feb 2008 09:00 GMT12
Can anyone give me some rough prices I should expect for some work -
I've tried my local Peugeot garage, but not quite sure of the figures as
the person didn't seem too clued in (lots of maybes and stuff - and the
figures seem high).
407 Headrest Too Far Forward20 Feb 2008 09:06 GMT3
Our 407 is my wife's car and she has serious neck problems. And she
finds that the driver headrest is too far forward for comfort.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any suggestions?
changing the 406 rear disc's & pads19 Feb 2008 07:59 GMT2
The time has come for me to change the rear discs & pads on my 1999 406 HDI
I have changed various pads & discs on various makes and models of cars over
the  years,
The question I have, is there anything I need to look out for while doing
How to get rear wheel off on 307SW?18 Feb 2008 19:57 GMT10
Noticed a flat with a puncture sitting on our drive. I managed to get
all 4 nuts out and put the guide nut in but when I pull the wheel just
won't come off. It is a rear wheel on a 307SW with alloys. I only have
the supplied jack so I don't want to pull too hard. I'm sure I have
How to get fuel out of tank18 Feb 2008 18:52 GMT4
I have decided to scrap my 306 diesel P reg but it has £40 of fuel in
it. I've been told it has an anti-syphon system.  I still need to
drive
it to the scrap yard.  Any ideas how I get it out?
2.0 HDI Cold Starting Problems17 Feb 2008 14:24 GMT1
Can anyone advise on likely causes for non start of the 2.0 HDi
The engine will not start when very cold - fine at all other times
I have replaced all glow plugs with new and it was working fine for several
weeks but then would not start. It has to be said, however, that it was not

I recently purchased a 504 diesel 1979 sedan and will be picking up
