I have a 406 estate on a 52 plate, fantastic car, but just one problem, when
I lock the car it often manages to unlock itself, when open the door the
alarm goes off, switch the ignition on and the alarm stops. When I lock it
with the button on the key fob I can hear all the doors ...

I have a corroded air con pipe which is passing fluid badly. The pipe
appears to be aluminum, is about 10 mm diameter and the corrosion area is a
circular patch about 5 mm diameter. Is there any way of successfully
patching this pipe or is it a replacement job? I was hoping that ...

Having looked under the plastic covers that fit on top of the front
suspension struts i've found something a bit disturbing.
The top-nut on the left strut had turned loose quite a bit. The nut on the
righthand side is also quite loose.

I had a new clutch fitted the other day.
I've had a badly worn clutch for a long time and can't remember how
the clutch is supposed to feel.
It seem to begin to bite about half way up, then full engages close to

when starting the car it sometimes cuts straight away to get over this i have
to put my foot down which is not a good idea from cold.
when driving the car and i take my foot off the pedal it drops to around 900
revs and then drop drastically but pick up again straight away like its ...

While driving on the motorway the other day (after about an hour) the
engine management light came on (with a beep). Now, whenever I switch

I am in the process of changing the clutch in my 1993 405TD estate.
I have a Haynes manual, but too late I realised it was the petrol
version. (Halfrauds didn't have any 405 manuals in my local store).

I have been asked to drain engine oil out of a diesel car and fill it
with diesel engine oil.as the husband got petrol oil and not diesel
oil.because it was cheaper than diesel oil.(what a pratt) does anybody
know would it of done any harm to the engine? he has only driven it
