LS1 or LS6 in 68 Camaro31 May 2004 16:26 GMT1
Hey everyone, I'm going to start a project car in the next year and I
wanted to know if anyone has any experience putting a recent model LS1
or LS6 crate engine in the body of a 68 camaro? I'm going to put in a
different trany and rear-end, so the match up can come later on those
most effective mods for a 1987 trans am31 May 2004 05:16 GMT3
Hey. I just bought a 1987 Trans Am with a 305 and I was wondering what
is the most cost-effective to increase horsepower and torque. I don't
want to spend too much money but I really want to make this thing
faster.
V6 Firebird starting problems31 May 2004 03:07 GMT10
I'm hoping I can describe this as accurately as possible.  When I start my
car(1990 V6 3.1L Firebird), it sometimes has a problem fully starting (i.e.
it sounds like it is about to die, and then it will sometimes catch).  Once
I get it started and rev it one or two times, it'll stay ...
76 Camaro Balljoint Q29 May 2004 15:50 GMT4
my bud and his dad were helping me work on the racecar
(76 Camaro dirt track car) yesterday - I snapped the lower
balljoint pretty much in half... and I decided to change both so it'll
hopefully survive the next race in one piece.
firebird starts then stalls29 May 2004 07:24 GMT10
89 Firebird 6cyl.
Stepped on gas at red light (now turned green) and it died.
Pushed it parking lot and this is the story:
Turn the key and it starts and then stalls right out. Try again, it
94 LT1 Opti spark.  What should the rotor look like?28 May 2004 05:02 GMT6
I have a 94 Z28 with an opti spark distributor.  I had it replaced
about 6 months ago along with the coil, ecm, wires, and plugs.
Recently, it started missing at low rpms.  I changed the plugs and
wires (2ond time) and it still misses.

Any one who will be around Dayton Ohio this weekend, and  is looking for car
parts, might want to check out the Cars & Parts  swapmeet in Springfield
(clark co. fairgrounds. Exit 59 off of I-70.
Im planning on taking atleast one box truck full of parts to sell, many
1968 Camaro28 May 2004 01:26 GMT9
I was doing some horse trading this  week, and  have acquired a rough
1968 Camaro. It won't be  delivered to me for a few weeks still. Yet I know
I don't wish to keep it.
Here's what I know. No title, drum front brakes, no doors. No drivers
93 TA Missing Badly When Hot27 May 2004 18:30 GMT5
I have a 93 TA 350,auto,EFI,.  The Car has ~ 100K on it and lately I have
noticed that when the AC is on and the operating temerature gets in to say
230, I get a really bad miss or cutout when I accelerate.  A few times all
the dash lights came on too.  It kind of acts like I'am ...
After work done, car runs hotter!  Thoughts?27 May 2004 00:33 GMT11
I just had my 1995 Z28 worked on a bit and when I got it back, while
it runs really nice, it runs a lot hotter than before.  I am wondering
what I could have had done that would have made the difference as well
as if it is a real problem and whether or not I ought to take it back
88 Camaro - which aftermarket posi ?26 May 2004 07:05 GMT55
Ok, screw all this sloppy spider gear BS that I've
been going thru - I want to get a posi unit. (can't
hardly drive the car in the rain with the wheel slip
anyhow).  Few questions...
Axle shaft question26 May 2004 06:08 GMT2
So on my 88 Camaro I just installed the Auburn
High performance model limited slip Posi unit in
the rear end, right ? Well, I noticed when I put
it all back together that the axle shafts (stock)
Camaro 7.5" vs 7.625" (26-spline vs. 28-spline)26 May 2004 04:32 GMT26
Got issues with an 88 Camaro "6HK" differential.
6HK indicates that this is a 7.625" differential, and
the ring gear is indeed stamped 7-5/8. However!,
it has 26-spline side gears and axle shafts in it, and

Anyone know what the front spring rate from a:
76 Camaro (non z28) and a
80 TA 301 (non ws6) would be?
I have the TA springs and need to change balljoints on the camaro
