odd gas question22 Jun 2004 19:47 GMT27
A friend has a car that sat for a while with a full tank of gas. We dropped
the tank to find out why there was no fuel flow and found that all the
rubber seals that came in contact with the old stale gas had dissolved.
Is this normal, or did someone pull a prank on him?

WTD: HEI plug wire terminals.20 Jun 2004 20:12 GMT1
I'm in need of some HEI plug wire terminals and a coil wire.  Boots
for the coil wire would be good, but not critical.  I don't need boots
for the plug wires.  All info will be greatly appreciated.  Reply here

the Q-Jet.
A few have even claimed to be  well experianced at building them.
Something I hate to do.

Dynomax muffler for V6 Firebird?18 Jun 2004 16:01 GMT14
I have a 94 Firebird V6, and I believe it has a stock GM muffler on it
right now.  I realize it is only a V6 and its not going to sound like a V8,
but I am finding that the exhaust sounds very weak and "rattly" with
whatever I got on it now.  I don't know how old the exhaust is, ...
Wanting 2nd gen parts shipped to the UK - Is Classic Industries the answer?18 Jun 2004 04:33 GMT2
UK prices for US car spares seem very high and it looks like it would be
worth my while ordering direct from the US, especially with the exchange
rate so far in my favour (although I do have to understand UK import tax
first).  I have discovered Classic Industries but before I go ...

Help please.

Windshield wiper motor16 Jun 2004 05:31 GMT2
My windshield wiper motor either gave out on me or the switch did. The
motor clicks when I turn the wipers on but does not run. I bought a new
motor and attached the power to it to see if it worked. It clicked the
same way as the old one. This is on a 79 Camaro. Any ideas?
Q-jet M/C Solenoid15 Jun 2004 23:26 GMT2
I'm trying to troubleshoot a sudden power-loss and surging/bucking
under load problem on my '86 Camaro, 305 4BBL, and was wondering if I
could safely disconnect the M/C solenoid connector from my Quadrajet
(E4ME) and drive around like that to see if the ECM isn't at fault?
79/80 TA owners - tell me about your rear lights15 Jun 2004 23:24 GMT7
I have just bought a TA here in the UK and Im a little paraniod that its not
what it seems which has made the following little thing seem significant:
My TA's rear lights (still wired for US use) have 4 red lights and one white
in each cluster with one lisence plate bulb. My Clymer ...
87 Trans Am Questions15 Jun 2004 22:59 GMT14
I have an 87 Trans Am w/305 4bbl & 5spd w/48800 miles.  A few things;
I never got the window sticker so I was wondering if there was a way
to check on some of the non obvious options (lmtd slip, etc.)to get
all the details.
