looking for downloadable owners manual01 Sep 2004 00:54 GMT4
I just bought a 1992 Pontiac Firebird. This isn't my first F-body, but
it is the first one that I've owned that used pictures instead of
words on the instruments. There are several switches that I have no
idea what they do, so I don't know if they are working or not! They
How to use computer chip with Anti-theft29 Aug 2004 10:50 GMT8
I'm searching for a way to use my 1988 Firebird TPI without having to
install an Anti-theft module.  I had to buy a new factory chip and the
only one available was with antitheft.  Unknown to me, I didn't realize
you had to have this module to even start the car....duh.

Long Story short: After getting  my   1998 Century back from the body

President Bush and Colin Powell are sitting in a bar.
A guy walks in and asks the barman, "Isn't that Bush and Powell sitting
over there?"
The barman says, "Yep, that's them."
tilt bowl for 86 T/A25 Aug 2004 14:31 GMT3
how hard is it to replace a tilt bowl on a 3rd gen T/A?  I was told by a
friend its not hard to install, but you have to be careful. Or, is it better
to replace the whole steering column?
I called a junkyard, and they said I had to take the whole column.
How much HP/Torque do you think it will take for the tranny to crack?25 Aug 2004 00:23 GMT2
If I was to plan to run 500rwhp, would I be doing too much work on the
tranny of a 96 Trans Am? How about the engine? Would 500rwhp be too much
for it? Anyone the the highest that the tranny and engine can take?
Clutch question24 Aug 2004 02:49 GMT5
I know it's nbot an Fbody....but...
I have a '90 S10, 5 speed/4cyl. Today when I got on it a little, it acted
like it was spinning the rear wheels...without spinning the rear.
I am sure it was the clutch. Does this mean it's at the end of it's life?
Oil leak - intake manifold LT124 Aug 2004 02:37 GMT1
I'm looking for some advice on replacing the intake manifold gasket for the
LT1. I have a Chilton and Hayne's repair book but still want someone with
experience to tell the hands on story.
Is this something an amateur with mediocre mechanical abilities can tackle
Heavy duty "stock" SBC starter?24 Aug 2004 01:36 GMT77
Short version:
If I'm getting one from a partstore, are there any years that are "heavy
duty"?  That's twice now I've been sidelined at the track with a starter
that won't turn over very fast (same starter, different engine) and a

Hey, can some of you kind folks give me the URLs to some online GM
parts retailers for my 2000 Trans Am Firehawk?
I am needing a passenger-side visor, and don't want to pay the $100
price the dealership wants (wish I new of a junk yard in my area...).

I have just boughten a 1995 v6 firebird and ran into some trouble.  The
