My '84 Camaro Z28 with 305 H.O. engine has taken up smoking in the engine compartment. The oil trail leads up to the rocker arm covers. So I tightened all cover bolts and it still smokes (a new gasket had been put in about 3 years ago, with very little mileage since). Now I'm ...

| shift boot bracket | 08 Aug 2004 21:28 GMT | 1 |
How goes it? Well, it's busted. I've been wandering thru a pdf file of part numbers looking for it. Think I've found it as a "boot retainer" as opposed to a bracket but not sure if that's exactly what it is.

I'm thinking of getting a 2002 z28 (or ss) convertible. There are several low mileage cars on autotrader at a decent price. I can really only afford one vehicle, so if I get a convertible it would be my winter car also. Does anyone here drive one in the winter? I live

Could someone please tell if it is possible for a regular Camaro to be a "real" split bumper car?? There was a 1972 Camaro in my local car magazine for sale at a very reasonable price, so reasonable that it was sold within 2 days after the book came out.

I need to lift my '84 Camaro nose up on jack stands to work on oil pan and transmission areas. But I'm not sure where the jack stands go. Can anyone describe the spots, or point me to a web picture with these areas highlighted ?

| 2001 door panel removal | 07 Aug 2004 05:30 GMT | 4 |
I need to remove the drivers door panel on my 2001 camaro convertible to replace a speaker and service or replace the power window motor, but I want to do it right without breaking any of the clips. I read somewheres that the panel is shot if you do that. Any tips?

I was told to ask you two for help. I posted a question here about doing a disc brake swap on my 67' Malibu. Several years ago I was lead to believe the 70' Camaro steering knuckles were a potential swap for the 67 Chevelle's. Both are forward positioned tierods whereas the
