My 95 Z28 has an after winter storage problem:
When the car cold starts, the radiator cooling fans come on within a few

I'm working on my 79 TA with an Olds 403.  It's got an Edelbrock
Performer RPM & a Holley 750.
It stinks to high heaven when running & there's smoke.  I think it's
white, but it's hard to tell.  I originally thought it backfired, blew

Stuck ignition switch20 Mar 2005 05:31 GMT3
What would be a main cause if the ignition switch will only go into
accessory and lock (won't go forward at all)?  Yes it's the right key...
Tried turning the wheel and moving the shifter while trying to turn the
key and no luck.

My New G/F has a 1994 V6, Automatic Firebird. The car has a VATS issue.
Currently the car is 100% In-op, and is sitting somewhere that I can not
get a tow vehical with ease.
What I need to do is BY-pass the VATS short term to get the car to my
94 Z28 cooling fan temp sensor location.19 Mar 2005 05:17 GMT10
My cooling fans won't turn on when engine temp dictates they should.
They work fine on start up and with A/C on. I need to know where the
fan temp sensor is located.
Thanks in advance,

How hard is it to change the oil pan gasket on a 403?15 Mar 2005 20:39 GMT5
I'm debating whether to do it myself or take it to a garage.  I read
in the Haynes manual about it & it doesn't seem too hard, but I don't
particularly like crawling under cars, & I can imagine the gymnastics
needed to clean the surfaces.
FUP: Sad news for me15 Mar 2005 18:42 GMT7
Hi again...
Well I got the bad news (on Wednesday) that the car is a total loss.  The
insurance adjuster stopped estimating at $15K and the body shop had already
arrived at $13K without taking into account the cost to repair the frame.  I

'74 455 Rebuild <Ping Dennis Smith>15 Mar 2005 04:23 GMT4
Well, the weather held and I got the engine and transmission out this
weekend.  I thought I might be able to get the engine out without removing
the headers, but boy was I wrong.  I ended up making them more difficult to
remove by moving the engine forward with the hoist before I ...
