Hello ~ New to this group, New to Firebirds! Just bought a 1978
Pontiac Firebird (Esprit) that was somewhat modified for drag racing.
I know it has a 350 engine in it and I know that wasn't the original
engine. But how do I tell if it is a Pontiac or a Chevy engine?

95 TA w/ 5.7 LT1 it has a slight miss or shudder between 1500-2000 rpm's...
Plug or Plug Wire ? anyone had anything more expensive cause a problem like
this ? I'm looking at one to buy and can't dig deep into it until I own it
and don't want to buy it and find out I need 1,000's ...

I have a 2000 Trans Am Firehawk. The driver door midrange speaker (not
the tweeter) cuts in and out, and I want to replace it. However, when
I remove the protective grille, the screws that secure the speaker are
covered by the door panel enough that I cannot get to them.

5.7L with T-tops. missing sail panel emblems. everyhting else looks correct.
but I have heard that t-tops were not offered in 87.
Correct?

My camaro has 130k miles on it. Was running great and it started to
have shifting problems so i had a rebuilt tranny put in it. So a
couple weeks back if kept not wanting to sh.t and then it died. I
took it back to the transmission place that rebuilt it and they said

What kind of mileage can I expect on a 78 T/A with a 400?
Yes, I know to not expect it to be very high, but I am curious what
other people are getting with similar cars.
Driving it around town, I am getting 8.5 mpg. Going just 85 miles
