| Bob Lutz's first effort at GM a flop? | 31 Oct 2004 18:24 GMT | 3 |
Bob Lutz has said that the first GM car that he had input for from the very beginning is the new Pontiac G6. The car buff magazines have all had a look at it now and it is getting, at best, damned with faint praise. I mean very faint in that it is judged better than the dog it ...

| 1990 Pontiac Transport se fuel pump problem | 31 Oct 2004 03:44 GMT | 8 |
My car won't start! Here's what is going on: I suspected that the fuel pump went bad, I changed it out. Still, it won't start. I suspected that maybe the fuses were blown. I changed out the fuses. Still it won't start. I suspected that maybe some wire were damaged or corroded. I ...

| 2005 GTO - Short Trunk | 31 Oct 2004 02:05 GMT | 7 |
Read an article in a magazine today that said the reason the GTO has such a small trunk is due to the US Safety Restrictions on Crash Tests. Here in the USA, the gas tank had to be located behind the rear seat backrest for safety concerns, thus the reason the trunk is only like 18

| 2000 Grand Prix brake booster | 31 Oct 2004 00:06 GMT | 1 |
When shopping for a replacement booster, I find that all the auto parts stores' databases reference a booster with a different piston than tat of the original booster. The hole in the top of the piston is about 3/32 too small to slip over the corresponding peg on the brake pedal. ...

| Daylight Running Lights Questions.... | 31 Oct 2004 00:05 GMT | 3 |
First thing, I have a 2000 Grand Am with 68k on it. Now for the questions, the DRL's aren't working, what would cause this? And, do they(DRL's) run from the headlight bulb? I went to Autozone and they said it's a different bulb, so I checked and all the bulbs are lit, expect the ...

| 99 Grand Am - a/c compressor will not engage | 30 Oct 2004 18:02 GMT | 2 |
Anyone seen this before? I have a 99 Grand Am and when the A/C button is clicked the light comes on but absolutely nothing happens (the compressor never engages). I've checked all the fuses and relays and they are all good.

| G6 GTP to cost over $30k! | 30 Oct 2004 13:38 GMT | 2 |
G6 GTP is expected to top out over $30k with all options! Now why would I spend $30k on an ugly dumpy looking G6 that could pass for a Saturn or Hyundai when I can order a 2005 Mustang GT for 25k? I dont get it. I hear Bob Lutz is in charge of design at pontiac, he needs ...

| 95 gp tranny | 30 Oct 2004 04:40 GMT | 1 |
Excuse my ignorance, but today my tranny went, but I'm not sure if completely. It has 140k on it and the 3.1L engine. I was going rather slow, about 20 mph, when I heard a snapping sound

| Whats wrong with Pontiac? | 29 Oct 2004 01:45 GMT | 5 |
Ok they release the new G6, it looks pretty good, nice and sporty, yet no 5 speed, what happened to "Pontiac - Driving Excitement" not, "Pontiac - Let the slushbox do the talking." I donno how GM can push Pontiac as their mid range performance branding if only their base model and ...

Does anyone know of a company make an after market Transmission Dip Stick for Late Model GM Cars that are built without one? I would find this a useful addition to allow me to check fluid level and add fluid if necessary.

| Overheating problems with 95 GP | 28 Oct 2004 16:13 GMT | 10 |
1995 Grand Prix with a 3.1 V6. It started overheating. I checked the rad cap and it was in pretty bad shape so I replaced it. Then I replaced the rad fan solenoids and had the entire system flushed. The thermostat and water pump were next.

| I don't mean to offend, but I like my new GTO | 28 Oct 2004 02:35 GMT | 21 |
I've had it for almost a month and just had to put in my $.02. Keep in mind that I'm over 50, so I know what a 'goat' is. This car is, most assuredly, NOT a ripoff of its namesake (technically, the original name as used by Pontiac, was just a name - Pontiac had no
