What purpose did Pontiac have in mind when they put the inner fender (engine compartment) seals (flap) on? Was it to cover seeing under carriage, keep dirt, dust, water out, What? My car will most likely never see mud, 100 miles per, and etc. Looks real nice without it. Sure ...

On my 2000 Bonneville with 86K miles I recently noticed the oil pressure gage pegging out at 120 psi. It stays there all the time when the engine is running - idle or high rpms it's still the same. With the engine off and ignition on it reads zero. Would this be the pressure

for the second time in few months my Bonny's fuel pump got broken. The first time they found stones in the fuel tank, but not this time. May it be the kind of gas we have in Iowa, with 15% of ethanol? Thanks a lot.
