I have a 1995 Firebird 3.4 automatic and its been running very good for a car 10 years old. Two weeks ago it started acting odd, runing ok but sometimes when going up a hill the rpms would rev up and the power didnt seem to translate to forward motion.

| 1999 Firebird Trans Am tripmeter problem | 26 Nov 2007 08:21 GMT | 2 |
Hey, all, I've got a 1999 Trans Am that's been well taken care of but it's got a very annoying problem. When I drive the car the tripmeter increments as it should but when I turn the car off and leave it parked for a period of time (overnight) the tripmeter resets to zero.

The 2000 Grand Am SE (2.4L dohc 4) my son recently acquired has lit up its "change oil" warning light. However, it didn't do that until a week or two *after* he'd had an oil change! Anyone know how to shut off that silly warning? (since my son is perfectly capable of knowing when ...

| having engine problems w/ 96 grand am | 17 Nov 2007 13:45 GMT | 3 |
My 96 Grand Am has been having trouble keeping a steady idle when your going between 45 and 50 mph. It will go up to 2500 rpm when it's shifting into overdrive but then if you keep your foot on the gas the rpm's drop to 1200, so it starts to shudder because it doesn't have enough ...

| 2002 Grandprix mirror display and trip computer info | 15 Nov 2007 02:53 GMT | 3 |
My mirror always shows either south or southeast regardless of what direction. The trip computer shows less gas used than I actually did, thus the mileage and miles to empty are wrong. What could cause this?

| codP1441 on 97 Grand Am | 14 Nov 2007 00:29 GMT | 3 |
Hello, hope someone here can point me in the correct direction. I had a check engine light on this week and just went to Auto Zone to run diagnostics to see what is was. The code was P1441 which stands for an evaporative emissions systems flow during non-purge (what the heck does ...

| Pontiac Grand Prix Alternator Replacement Guide - GM 3800 Series II S/C 3.8L | 08 Nov 2007 17:49 GMT | 2 |
I recently had to change the OEM alternator on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I'm sure most of you could swap an alternator out in your sleep but I took pictures of the process and wrote up a quick guide for the new owners.

| possessed 2000 Grand Am | 08 Nov 2007 04:13 GMT | 2 |
My son's "new" 2000 Grand Am SE has a weird problem. When his power steering got noisy and then crapped out, we checked the fluid level and it was way low. We filled it, and a day later it was low again. We filled it again (to avoid running it dry, and so he could drive it okay) ...
