I am planning to buy a 911 and need some advice regarding what to look
for. Due to Norwegian tax regulations the car has to be 30 years old
when I import it to Norway, and therefore I'm looking for a 1976. I
have no experience with 911, an I am grateful for al kinds of advice.

I am trying to tune in a station that does not get reception
(something like 87.9 FM). However, when I turn the dial, the radio
automatically tunes in to the next station that is available.
I do not have my manual which is why I am asking here

I have recently bought a German -spec 964. I also have a BMW 530d.
The BMW's computer allows me to switch between KPH and MPH.
The 964's computer shows me the road speed in KPH, but I can't find how to
switch to MPH. Is this possible, and if so, how ?

Can anybody suggest why my steering on a 1982 SC Targa has a lot of play?
Are there bushes that need to be replaced? Where do I look?
I can move the steering up/down and left/right approximately 10mm.

inspection just to confirm that the car is as good as stated. It only

i had asked if someone knew how to tell an engine type. someone had
responded and said to give them the number on the side of the engine and
they would tell me the engine type.

1989 911 DME system.  I'm troubleshooting an apparent miss or engine problem
and going through the list in the book.  The Porsche Service manual doesn't
cover this test but the other manual does.  Checking the air flow sensor by
putting a digital VOM on pins 2 and 3 and measuring ...

I am considering my first 911.  I would like something from 1992 to 1996.  
Does anyone have any advice on what to buy and what defects to look for?
