| thought experiment | 30 Apr 2004 18:44 GMT | 1 |
The Truman chooses a Ferrari over a Porsche next year, since no one in the Porsche community would give the truman a lift up. What are the results? Media's presentation of playboys changes for all history, illustrious women and world exploits become the domain of the multi ...

| How to get correct Porsche 911 and 930 workshop manuals | 27 Apr 2004 23:34 GMT | 4 |
I've been researching getting some workshop manuals for the 84-89 911 and 930 cars and have been getting conflicting information from every dealer I call. One dealer says "It's all electronic now, I can't help you". Another says $1258 for a 5 or 6 volume set, plus another $285

| Porsche Exterior Color - 1987 911 | 25 Apr 2004 09:06 GMT | 12 |
I'm looking a buying a 1987 911. The car is a color that I have not seen before on a 911. I would describe it as a "sky blue" or "robin's egg blue". It is a non-metallic color. It does look to be an original factory paint.

I have yet to pull panels but do the vents in the Targa bow have a drain? I have tried to find this leak, but getting stumped. Not the roof or doors, but after a rain, the floor is wet, always. I have pulled the carpet and with it raining, it seems to seep in along the bottom of the ...

| 911 Gauges | 22 Apr 2004 19:20 GMT | 6 |
I have seen several photos of 911s where the owners rotate the gauges -- for instance, so the tach starts at 6:00 position. Why is this? Any alignment issue it would resolve is not worth how much it would bother me not having the numbers be oriented properly!

| '80 911 SC tires not flush | 16 Apr 2004 02:47 GMT | 5 |
I'm wondering what it takes to get the rear wheels/tires to be flush with the outer edge of the body work. The car is stock but it was optioned originally with the turbo style body so the tires are an inch or two inside the body. It just doesn't look as good as it could.

| 964 will not start after valve adjustment, spark plug, cap and rotor replacement | 08 Apr 2004 05:14 GMT | 10 |
I just completed a valve adjustment on a 1990 911 (964) C2 air cooled. I replaced distributor caps and rotors. This was my first 911 valve adjustment. I own a 912 and routinely do the valve adjustment plus I have done my share of solid lifter muscle car valve adjustments.
