911 1979 headlight flasher25 Aug 2004 04:56 GMT2
Does the 1979 911SC have a headlight flasher (Flash to pass, whatever you
call it)?  Pulling the lever only seems to flash the headlights when the
headlights are on, but does not flash the headlights on when they are turned
off.  Normal?

stalling/backfire24 Aug 2004 02:09 GMT5
I have a '76 911S, runs perfectly and smoothly almost all the time, but
suddenly the tach goes wild, spinning from 0 rpm to 8K (engine does not
spin wildly, just the tach!), then, engine coughs, sputters, and sometimes
backfires explosively.  Yesterday I was driving past a lady on ...

1971 911 stalls after 15 minutes...22 Aug 2004 17:45 GMT2
Need help.
My 71 911 stalls after 15 minutes (or so) of driving.  It drives great, then

911T  FRONT SUSPENSION21 Aug 2004 20:14 GMT2
I have a 1970 911T. The front torsion bars seem to be set very high. The
adjuster is at its lowest setting; no tension on the adjuster plate and the
front is high. Adjusting in the opposite direction merely raises the front of
the car to very high. This vehicle has been apart under ...

I have a 1980 911SC engine.  When I start it up in the morning, after about
30 seconds, it backfires a few times until it's warmed up. Can anybody give
me any advice on what should be tuned to stop this from happening?

I'm looking at a 911 (964) Carrera 2. What kind of servicing costs may
I have to deal with each year? And how much is a basic service?

1990 Carrera 4 oil cooler leak17 Aug 2004 12:21 GMT1
I have a (slight) leak in the oil cooler under my right front wheel
well.  Is this a project a fairly adequate handy guy can tackle?  The
Bentley publishers technical data manual I got with the car isn't
detailed.  I need to know how to access it...take off the wheel and go
1976 911T - Stay away? (long)09 Aug 2004 12:55 GMT5
I've been looking at 911s for awhile, and have been doing a lot of

Targa Top refinishing02 Aug 2004 01:12 GMT6
I've just received new vinyl for my targa top.  I'm going to try
installing it myself.  Has anyone here tried it?  Do you have any
advice?  I've seen the Pelican Parts how-to and it seems pretty
straightforward.  Glue is mentioned - does anyone have any
