Goodbye my 911, I won't miss you.26 Dec 2004 17:26 GMT3
I am a very happy person today.
Why?
Because I finally got rid of my 2000 911, a horrible piece of junk I
was stupid enough to have bought new four years ago. I replaced it with
3.2 conversion20 Dec 2004 22:33 GMT2
I own a 1979 911 SC with a pretty standard motor.
I want more output but have been told there is virtually NOTHING that can be
done to the standard CIS motors that won't involve $10,000 + and I would be
much better off spending less money on a 3.2L conversion.
Nadella Axles15 Dec 2004 18:02 GMT2
Does anybody out there know of anyone making up or repairing Nadella
halfshafts? I have a couple of broken ones, a pair of standard Nadellas
converted to US U-joints at the wheel and one made up with a slip joint
and 2 U-joints, by a shop in Portland, OR about 30 years ago.

does anyone know where i can get a porsche alternator cheap for a porsche
930 81 model turbo
recommendations on year, etc.11 Dec 2004 13:32 GMT5
I've been looking around a little at getting a 911.  Based on my taste I
seem to graviate towards the mid to late 80s hard tops, especially a turbo
or turbo look.  Not actually knowing much about things to seek or avoid, I
could end up making a bad purchase.  Could anyone toss me ...
rustling  noise from steering column bush / 1988 Carerra 3/211 Dec 2004 13:13 GMT3
I'm getting some rustling noise from the steering column bush where the
indicator / wiper levers come out. I tried taking out the screws from either
sides trying to remove the cover. The cover doesn't seem to want to come
off. my Haynes Manual doesn't offer much help.
code scanners for porsche?11 Dec 2004 04:22 GMT2
anyone have any experience with a code reader or scanner on 993s?  It seems
like I should have one of these in my toolkit, now that they cost under
$100, but there are certainly a wide variety - I haven't found a useful
review that mentions Porsche yet, though I'm still looking.
(11 color options08 Dec 2004 23:54 GMT2
Does anyone know what the color options were for the 1974 911's? Were they
just "red". "Blue", "green", etc? Or did they have names like Sky blue,
Sunrise yellow..?
