| Yet another headroom for the tall question | 27 Apr 2004 13:25 GMT | 3 |
Going through the availiable archives on Google shows a few posts about head/leg room in the later (88-01) Porsche 944. I didn't see anything that definitely answered the headroom question. I'm 6'6" (~198cm), with long arms and legs. I've had my eye on an '85 944 for

| '83 944 Headlite Closing Problem | 26 Apr 2004 00:42 GMT | 2 |
The headlites on my '83 944 rise up with no problem. When you turn them off however, they tend to close about half way down and then stop. Once they stop in this position (i.e., half closed), if you manually give them a light tap they will close completely.

| Indicator lights and what they might mean in my case... | 25 Apr 2004 15:55 GMT | 7 |
I've been having a strange problem, well not really a problem, but I've noticed something strange. So here is an example; when I'm driving around I notice this sometimes, and not others. No real reason why it should be random, maybe the way I start out from first gear, but still no ...

| Odometer Gear Question | 24 Apr 2004 04:02 GMT | 1 |
As it does for many others, my odometer gear on my 87 944 N/A finally went. I tried a couple of places that normally have a "replacement" gear, but they were out of stock. So, check google under Porsche odometer gear, I found a site that said they

'87 924S - Back seat floor pass. side fills with water when it rains ; not from the battery tray (which I have tarred and fiberglassed) ; folks have suggested the drain holes under the sun roof may be stuffed ; they look OK - how to deal with this ? Blow air down them ? Up them ...

| 86 944 ignition coil to DME wire connector? | 23 Apr 2004 13:02 GMT | 5 |
Debugging an electrical problem. While checking out my DME module, I have the DME module out and the main connector to the unit off. I was checking continuity thru the harness in an attempt to identify which pin goes to the ignition coil.

| 1987 944 n/a Jackstand positioning | 23 Apr 2004 03:56 GMT | 2 |
Just wondering, where is the best position to place jack stands or blocks under a 87 944 n/a for a new clutch installation, and how high should it be? will the wheels have to be free to rotate? I guess these are minor questions, but I am going to try this installation myself. Any ...

| 1987 944 n/a | 18 Apr 2004 15:14 GMT | 5 |
Well, it finally happened, While the engine is idling, I cannot get the transmission to shift into any gear with the clutch pedal pressed. I can shut off the engine, and push the clutch pedal, and it goes into any gear. When you start the 944 in 1st gear, pushing the clutch pedal in ...

| '87 944S High, hard brake pedal | 18 Apr 2004 07:42 GMT | 1 |
My 944S has poor brakes. The pedal is high and hard. Takes much greater effort to whoa-up than does my '86 944. Doesn't inspire confidence on the off ramp. Both cars are vacuum-assisted. As the 944S is new-to-me, I've turned the rotors replaced pads, replaced rubber hoses with ...
