What are some easy ways to tell the difference between the turbo and turbo
s ??  I understand the engine serial # is different (M44/51 for non turbo
s and M44/52 for turbo s and last half of vin # is JN15----for non turbo s
(I think)). I can not view the auto but have pictures. Do ...

As I pressed on the clutch to start the car today, the pedal pulled away
from my foot and slammed against the floor/firewall with a loud thud.  As
hard as I try I can not pull the pedal off the floor to bring it back up.
Anyone out there have this problem before and have any ideas ...

How many miles would be to many when buying a 944turbo? Im seeing many
with 100k+ for just alittle bit less then ones with more miles.If
major suspension pieces will most likely be needing replacement in
another 50k more miles if a descent interior and exterior higher

Hello Newbie Here.
There is a disc-like metal object down by the foot rest, behind the glove
compartment at the passanger side that creates fast clicking sounds like a
malfunctioning solenoid. This happends mostely when my A/C is on. Does

When first starting my 85.5  944 I have good (almost pegged)
oil press.  After warm up the press drops to about 3 bars when
running but to about 1 bar when it drops to idle.  The emergency
red light flashes on momentarily then it levels off to about 1.5 bars.

I have a very intermittent temperature guage.
While I am driving, the temperature quage goes from normal to really high,

running at about normal. i just changed the oil probably no more than a
week after i got it, and the oil pressure is all the way to the 5 on the

After 60 miles of high speed driving in the heat the power steering "went
away".  The next day the power steering was back. The reservoir is full and
there's no sign of leakage.  Any ideas?

I just changed the water pump and timming belt on my 1987 924s (944
engine). The timming belt was installed at TDC. The engine starts fine
and runs better than before but has a vibration which I guess means
the balance shafts are not balancing. Is there a TDC setting for the
