Hey all,
I decided to change out the clutch in my 1987 944n/a.
Yes, I done it myself, I got me a haynes manual and took my time. I
installed a Sachs Complete clutch Kit.

I just relocated to MD from NC and the MD state inspection is tough. My car,
a 1990 944 S2 Cab, passed the complete inspection except for the rear
plastic window which they say is to foggy. Of course, the inspector says I
need to replace the top. YIKES!!!!That's a lot of cash.

When the engine on my '86 951 is warmed up, the oil pressure light and
the main warning light flicker on and off continuously at idle. The
gauge, which seems to work fine, shows pressure, and the light goes
out as soon as I hit the gas. I've recently changed the oil and have

My 1983 944 has red lights across the entire rear and the license holder on
the bumper.  On ebay I see many 1983 944  with the red lights not across
the entire back but in 2 sections with a place for the licence plate
between them.  Can anyone explain this difference?

i have an 84 944 with low psi. the engine was just rebuilt
new bearings, new rings just the works and know i have a low oil psi any
ideas on what it could be.

bolt loose at the camber plate!  HUH?  I have removed the strut from the car
and have a spring compressor on the spring but removal of the nut at the top

I'm trying to find the exact model designation of a 944 I've just purchased.
The year of manufacturer is 1986, but I don't know of it's an 'S' or not.
Can anyone tell me how to find out.

whole front lower part of the engine is covered in oil grime .
oil could be coming from front oil seal or lower balance shaft.
BUT NOW my freind tells me his mechanic says that the oil comes from a

It is a 1987 Porsche 944 with 113,000 miles.  It is 100% mechanically sound.

I was replacing my 85/1's stereo, and the power antenna's cable
connector (the thick black wire that connects to the receiver's
