I've had to get an alarm fitted on my UK '90 S2 to keep the insurance company happy and now need to disconnect the factory fitted alarm that came installed on it (I think it has problems anyway), is there anything special I need to do as I'm guessing that I can't simply unplug ...

Ok I found the paint codes and a place to buy some touch up paint that is made to order--- don't know the quality but I think I will give it a try as a arisol can is $30 and if that matches it is a lot cheaper than an entire paint job. Now the question--- where are the paint codes ...

hi i've just bought a 1983 944 and when i turn on the ignition the rev counter goes right up to maximum, i havent looked into the problem yet as im a relative begginer and was just wondering if this is a common problem, where i need to look and what needs replacing.

I purchased a 1991 944 S2 recently. During acceleration above 3000 rpm, I can feel obvious vibration from the car. The problem seem to exist in every gear over 3000 rpm. A mechanic here in Taiwan told me that it's becase of worn out CV boots on the center main axle? Does

I have an oil leak coming from the back of the cam case, as I have to change the belt I figured I'd take care of this at the same time. Does this gasket go on dry, or can anyone suggest a good sealent. Thanks

Could someone clarify to me; the belt is supposed to be tensioned at a one and a half tooth difference from the match mark. Is the cam supposed to be move independent of the crank to this position, or are they moved together? Thanks

I would appreciate some input from the group. Engine very rough on startup - would not smooth out until warmed up. They gave the mechanical and electrical a going over, all they could find was one cylinder (not sure if it was the first in the firing sequence) which was lagging. ...
