I am a proud new owner of an '88 944 Turbo. I am looking to install a
new detachable-face cd player. I am looking at the current Blaupunkt
line but have noted that some complain about it not having enough
power/volume.

Having realized that I missed my '79 924, I recently purchased a
mechanically sound '86 944 with all the usual 944's bodily sins:

Stupid question...my 924S has a locking fuel cap.  I've never locked it (I'm
the third owner) but thinking it might be time to start.
Before I start jamming keys into it to see if one works, I thought I'd ask
if anyone knows...would a locking cap have been standard? Might it be ...

Having had a new rack fitted my shop recommend a 4 wheel realignment can
anyone tell me what the castor/camber and toe-in settings are or where I can
find them.

I keep my 944 in the garage and I always get a lot of gas fumes as it sits
there for a few hours. But when I look, there are no leaks to be found but
it sure smells like I have some even though none seems to be
missing....drives me crazy...any ideas?

i just replaced the right motor mount yesterday because it was....dead.
that was a job in itself, at least for me never having done it before. the
vibration is no more, but i have to slam the shifter all the way to the
left and slam it back up in order for it to engage in 1st. same ...

Just wondered if anyone who has a SuperCharger on their 944 NA and could
share their experience???  I see SpeedForece has them $5500 US for a 100
horses...crazy, I know but wondered if others have used these and tossed
their AC units. Could be other units out there for better ...

I noticed that my car has no fast idle when cold. When I start it it
start @ 800rpm and when warm goes to 950 +- 50. What controls fast
idle???? #2 Everyone says I have an odd car because it’s an 83 w/ no

I have a problem with passenger compartment heating, i have it set to cool
and it blows hot air i mean HOT air , what could be the reason of that.

Well my ball joints are failing so its time to replace them,its 87 944 and
what i was reding u cant replace them with new one,need to buy new arm, is
that truth?, the only thing u can do is buy a kit to replace old rubber or
stuff. I found one

History:
A few years ago, my buddy took the car for a ride, and the clutch pedal
stuck on the floor.  I reached down and pulled the pedal up, meeting only

the car - 87 944S
very nasty vibration at idle - and slipping belt (AC belt)
much trouble shooting - new motor mounts, bla bla - many things help a
little, but it still is horrible.  This weekend when attempting to tighten
