I have a 85 1/2 944 with 120,000 mi on it not alot of records on work done. when i start my car after it sits for days i get rough start and a sweet smelling smoke from tail pipe and exuhast manifold. after it warms up it goes away. could this be oil coiler gaskets or possible head ...

What is 944 ownership like? Are they expensive to run? what are spares like to get hold of and cost (in the UK)? I've had two 924's, so I know the 944 is better, but is it more expensive to run or is it about the same? or not that much more?
