Like most 944 owners, we love our car but wish for a bit more. I decided to
go with a non-turbo 944. It was in great shape back then and even better
today...but  damn I wish I had more power.

Greetings all.  After getting (a lot) of help from
this board my 944 cabriolet is running great.
One thing I'm noticing: On the open road, the temp
is staying down just above the second bar.  However

I have a 85 1/2 944 with 120,000 mi on it not alot of records on work done.
when i start my car after it sits for days i get rough start and a sweet
smelling smoke from tail pipe and exuhast manifold. after it warms up it
goes away. could this be oil coiler gaskets or possible head ...

What is 944 ownership like? Are they expensive to run? what are spares
like to get hold of and cost (in the UK)? I've had two 924's, so I know
the 944 is better, but is it more expensive to run or is it about the
same? or not that much more?

Hey everyone
when Im driving my 944 its end to make a klunk/click sorta noise when
I shift. does anyone know what this is? My dad says its either the
clutch/uv joint/or the trans . I need more on that becuase I dont have
