Shifter Problem with 944 S2 NA30 Sep 2005 04:07 GMT8
i am the proud owner of a restored (not restored by me) 1990, 944 s2 na with
144K miles.  in this car i was xing a railroad xing and slowed and went to
2nd gear to pull away when across, all was ok.  but, when pulling away, as i
went to shift from 2nd into 3rd, seems like my shift ...

i posted a few weeks ago about my car not starting after i washed the
engine off. i found that there was water in one of the spark plugs
somehow. after i dried it out, all was well. at least i though. i drove
the car for probably 2 weeks with no problems. then, it rained. i thought

does anyone know the test procedure for the crank reference sensors?   I
dont see anything about them on Clarks Garage.    That site has been an

anybody know where i can get a technical diagram of the transaxle?  my
rearend went bad but i have a spare transaxle with transmission problems.
i plan to put the two good components together and would like to have a
diagram or schematic for reference.

My sunroof doesnt open (not the fuse).  Is there any way of manually opening
it and/or removing it?

I just bought my first Porsche so here comes my first load of dumb
questions.
Where the heck is the air filter element? I think it if forward of the
radiator under the nose sheet metal, but I can't actually see it or figure

Having just replaced the clutch on my 1985 944 I now have a nois
vibration at 3500 rpm. I have tried to simulate this with the wheel
off he ground but all is good. Could this be load related as th
vibration and noise starts as the power starts to kick in? it happen

I have a plain jane 87 944 and am getting no spark.  I have replaced
the DME relay, plugs, rotor, cap, coil, reference & speed sensors.  I
have good fuel flow.  I have 12V at the coil with ignition in start
and on positions, but no pulsing of test light on coil.  Beginning to

anyone know if high fuel pressure (by a few PSI) will cause a rough
idle?
car is 944S, 1987 - fuel pressure is 52 psi,running at idle, and I can
