Hoping someone can help me with a mystery problem that's arisen on my 1986
944 Lux.
I had to take the front bumper off recently, so obviously had to disconnect
the two wires from each front winker assembly. Winkers were working
944 FLEXABLE BRAKE PIPES25 Feb 2006 10:13 GMT11
I have a problem; I ordered a set of stainless steel flexible hoses for
a 944 S1 1985.
The garage attempted to fit one and found that the original end that
goes into the caliper has a bullet nose.
alternator hardware question24 Feb 2006 22:37 GMT5
I may have asked this before but I don't recall anyone posting a
response.  If anyone has a copy of PET and can spare 10 min. to look
something up for me, I need to know the specs of the studs coming out
the back of the alternator that hold the air duct on.  All that stuff

Dashboard clock for 1987 944T18 Feb 2006 22:17 GMT4
I recently had the interior of my '87 944T cleaned and polished.
In the process, the guys that were polishing the dash applied pressure to the
LCD digital clock (almost facing the passenger side) and cracked the interior
plates.  Now there's a bleed that renders the clock (which has ...

944 '83 vs '88 Rims17 Feb 2006 02:17 GMT2
Does anyone know if the rims / tires from an '88 944 (tire size 225 50
R15) will fit an '83?  I currently have the original 5 spoke black and
chrome wheels.  The '88s are the silver dial type.  What would be a
good price (approximately) for a set of 4 rims in fair condition with

I have a strange grating/humming noise once I get to aroung 30 mph, after a
few miles the grating goes but the humming stays.
Anyone got any experience what it may be?  Or of what's required to change
out the box to a manual one?
'83 944 - Changing Rubber Fuel Line to Fix Leak10 Feb 2006 03:24 GMT3
I have my '83 944 tucked away to escape the winter here in the
Northeastern US.  Unfortunately, I noticed today that some fuel has
started to drip from the rubber hose that attaches to the gas tank and
goes to the fuel filter.  The leak is right at the gas tank fitting so

condition and drives like it was new, however there are a couple of
little things that are not as they should be.
The car was advertised as having ABS but no matter how hard I brake the

I recently purchases an Equus/Innova #3640 fuel injection pressure

which is slightly smaller than the valve on my 1986 944T, which uses a
Bosch L Jetronic system. Is there anyway this thing can be adapted to
