I cannot get any cool air from my late '85 oval-dash 944. It doesn't blow
really hot, just warm.
I've checked out the 'usual' things, as suggested in the very helpful Clarks
Garage pages, but to no avail. I have got the temperature control knob on

Are porsche 944 motors supposed to be loud?

I have a 1985.5 NA 944.  I was told the sunroof worked in a manual
fashion - turn the wire in the trunk by hand - prior to my buying the
car.  I wanted to make the car whole so I bought a sunroof motor,
switch and replacement gear.  I now know that they changed the sunroof
