can some one help me with this I'm changing my fuel pump but i can not
locate it i found the filter but no pump.

been channging the front seals on a 944S (seemed like a good idea), got all
new rollers too (also seemed like a good idea), and decided to change the
belts while it was all appart (yep, seemed like a good idea) - I've done
this before, its usually easy to put the belt on  - ...

The (new) battery on my '83 944 will go dead over the period of a few
days if left unattended.  Not sure if it is related, but at night when
I drive with the headlites on I also noticed that the alternator idiot
lite will lite very, very dimly.

My passanger wiper got stuck, so I want to take whole mechanism out,
clean it and grease it :-) and mount back into my S.

Firstly, very many thanks to all who offered suggestions as to why my late
'85 944 Lux was spluttering & losing all power intermittently ( see my post
1 August ).
Since then, I've replaced the DME relay, the ignition coil, the fuel pump

I bought this car not running it had been setting for one year. It had
a flywheel dampner center broken. I have replaced the dampner put the
engine back in.
No fire to plugs while cranking, but one spark when I stop cranking.

A 1983 944 was just passed along to me from a family member.  It is
overhearing.  Checked the 2 fans and one is missing 2 of the 3 blades.
Checking around for fans have seen new replacement 6 blade fans for
over $200 a piece.  Found a place that has 2 used 6 blade fans for a

ok, I've changed timing belts many times, to convirm TDC you just look in
the little viewport above the flywheel and align the OT mark with the
pointer.  Well, this is a 944S, and I can't see any OT mark, nor can I see
the pointer I expect.  I have a 85.5 hard copy manual, it ...

hi every one i just got a 86 porsche 944 turbo the car is in great
shape in and out. but there is one thing wrong with it. the guy that
sold it too me told me it did have a oil leak in the oil pan gasket. so
i took it to to a place that only works on porsche's (euroworks) in

I need to replace my front struts. As an alternative to just replacing
the front units, I've come across the idea of  cutting off the shock
absorber part of the strut and replacing it with a Koni insert. This
sides a bit strange to me, but Koni is a reputable brand and the

Well... I have a 86 944 n/a
The first thing is the clutch was clunking and I know that I need a
new clutch as the rubber is probably non existant.
Now.... the new issue.
