subject says all... after a local mechanic resoldered my DME it is
crapping out on me again.  Would like a good used one so I don't have to
make the car completely nonfunctional to work on current DME.  Please
help before I set this car on fire, I got several maintenance-free ...

I have another problem with my 85.5 944.  At 3000 rpm (any gear), the gear
shift vibrates very stongly.  Once past 3000 rpm, the vibration goes away.
Is this a problem with the transmission?  doesn't make sense as it is every
gear.

i figure there is a > 75% probability that removal of an oxygen sensor
from an old (probably original) exhasut manifold - even heated up from
driving or a blowtorch - will cause any of the exhaust manifold parts
to need replacement.  is this reasonable to expect?  i.e. should i be

I'm going to replace the thermofan switch on my 83 944 (with AC) due
to the fact that this driver side fan never turns off.  I'm away on
business and don't have access to my 944 but want to order the part
ahead of time so it will be waiting for me when I get home.  Can

I just got the ac charged. The AC blows cold at idle, but when the
throttle is opened the heat turns on and vents blow hot. The tech says
the problem is in the vacuum hoses, but can't isolate it. Any ideas?

A few nights ago, I noticed that my fan was not tuning off even after
running for an extended period of time after shutdown.  Fearing that
it would drain my battery if it ran all nite, I disconnected the
battery.  The next morning when I reconnected the battery the fan

1987 924s ;  window will not go down or up; a friend fixed this on the other
side some years ago; took  a pencil
eraser and cleaned a contact - but I missed the details of what he did and
where -

87 944 N/A ....when turning ign off after a ru n(not every time
thou)... there a loud vac type dumping noise from the inner
wing ...anybody got any thoughts ???

I'm still parting out this 87 944S - the following are free, Los Angeles
area:
drivers side door shell - repairable, or if you want to practice body and
fender work - otherwise I cut it up and recycle it
