Power loss uphill28 Aug 2007 06:35 GMT1
Thanks to Bill Noble for the help with my last post.  I have an 89 944
base model.  However, I have another problem I am trying to figure
out.  When I come onto big, steeper hills my car starts to bog down
and lose speed.  My mechanic told me my clutch is good.  Just had
choice of "thermo-fan" switch temperature27 Aug 2007 16:26 GMT5
i presume that the most significant consequences from selection of a
low radiator fan switch temperature setting (e.g. 75-deg-C) gives you
more aggressive cooling with the expense of running the fans more and
possibly the battery and that's it.  so the fans might need
Slave clutch piston problem17 Aug 2007 02:52 GMT2
Hi, I have a 1983 and one-half 944. My slave clutch piston had a leak
and I snapped off the head of the top bolt trying to replace the
piston.  The piston housing is off now but anyone have a suggestion on
how to get the remaining part of the bolt out of the aluminum housing.

Sometimes, when I try and lower the electric windows in my '85 944
(oval dash) they are very very slow. Also, wait for it, the fog lights
come on, the battery charge meter (voltmeter) registers only 12v and
1983 944 Fan Not Working / Overheating08 Aug 2007 06:58 GMT9
My '83 944 was running very hot today.  Even though the weather was
warm, it is unusual for her to get this hot.  When I got home and
popped the hood I noticed that neither of the fans were running.  The
a/c unit needs a charge so I'm not sure if the one fan will ever come
While i'm in there08 Aug 2007 06:57 GMT1
Having the head rebuilt due to bent valves.  Anything else I should do while
the head is off and everything is apart?  Car is a 87 944.
put fuchs on, now have a question...02 Aug 2007 07:05 GMT6
I replaced my phone dials with a set of 15" x7/8 fuchs last weekend (kept
the same tires) and now above 40mph I get a ton of tire/road noise, the
drone is so bad I have to turn the radio way up so it doesn't drive me nuts.
Also, at 70+ mph I get a lot of vibration and shaking in ...
