I have a 1987 944 standard 8 valve model. This is a UK car, RHD and has no air conditioning. It has one cooling fan which seems to come on too often. The car does not overheat and the gauge sits just below halfway.

I got the head of my '83 944. One of the studs that hold the head onto the block is badly corroded. Looks like the spacing a rounded it is filled with carbon build up. I was thinking about replacing it. What's the best way to remove these? Are they reversed threads? Or ...
