won't start - need help fast28 Dec 2003 22:52 GMT11
Hi!  This morning was very chilly when I started my car (3 degrees F) and
this was probably the coldest I have ever tried to start it.  It started up
but idled very low around 300rpm up and down, and then after about 5 seconds
it died.   I started it again and it did the same thing, ...
924 - rattling cam28 Dec 2003 00:20 GMT1
We have a 924 with a noisy cam - the cam itself does not look too worn.
A couple of questions:
Will adjusting the tappets cure this?
If not - is it worth fitting new tappets before trying a new cam?
IS 1988 911 Carrera Chipped?26 Dec 2003 23:58 GMT2
How can I determine if this 911 is chipped? Is there any easy way, I've been
told by the owner that he thinks it is chipped but I'm not to sure. Where do
I look? Also if it's not chipped does anyone have some good recommendations
for chipping it? (For the trolls out there I don't ...
Anybody put a Wevo shifter in their 911SC?26 Dec 2003 00:46 GMT1
I have a '79 SC, and I've never like the way it shifts, even after an
overhaul.  An expert told me that shifting an SC is like stirring a bucket
of tar with a stick, and I agree.  That's just the way most of them are.
Now I'm hearing all these wonderful things about the Wevo shifter ...

More battery thoughts19 Dec 2003 07:27 GMT3
Greeting to friends and neighbors,
Well, I've read the recent battery posts, and I'm posed with
purchasing a new battery for the 993.  I've diagnosed the current OEM
unit with Dead Cell disease.  I really have a problem with putting just

I believe they are from a '73 911. Black with low headrests. They are
structurally in good shape. The chrome is all there. Drivers side

Battery change - '98 2.5 Boxster16 Dec 2003 11:30 GMT1

The one in my '98 2.5 Boxster finally decided to give up...

I am curious to know if there is anyone out there who actually knows what
the story is regarding the amount of clearance we have to play with in a us

non-interference. I have read(on renlist) that all single cam ...
