Hey guys,
I'm new to this group, just bought a Porsche 924 - my first Porsche and a

Are body modifications like flared rocker panels and ground-effects
spoilers just for looks, or do they have benefits like increased
traction and/or reduced drag?

clutch noise30 May 2004 01:19 GMT1
I've recently began to notice a funny sound pertaining  to my clutch.  Maybe
once a week or so, only when the car is cold, I notice a chirping sound when
I push the clutch pedal in.  I don't really know how else to describe it,
just chirp chirp chirp only when the clutch is engaged, ...

Vacuum line for a 1977 911S28 May 2004 03:01 GMT1
I am going to attempt to perform a valve job for the first time. The Pelican
Technical Article has convinced me that even I can do it.
While ordering the feeler gauge and new cover gaskets, I though I would
replace the vacuum lines at the same time. The car has been running lean and
Short trip ok?27 May 2004 20:43 GMT7
I have a 85.5  Porsche 944 that i'm going to need to use for a short
roadtrip Friday.  I'll be doing about 80 miles there and than another 80 for

just run my 944 around town, nothing out of the city.  Should ...
1997 911 price27 May 2004 20:35 GMT4
I have an opportunity to purchase a 1977 911 (no turbo).  It has
125,000 miles and appears to be in good condition.  The body is
straight except for some minor rock chip dings around the nose.  The
engine has had a lot of work done to it over the years (the seller has

I have a 78 911SC with 70000 original miles. It has never given me a
days problem for years until yesterday. After driving 10 miles, I
started her up to go home. She started, went into the cold-start cycle
with a high idle, but when the cold-start cycle ended and she returned

I've had problems with the battery since a phone car kit was removed from my
