weak clutch?18 Jul 2004 07:39 GMT1
I have a 86  non-turbo 944  right now with only 108k.   I have three
questions I hope you can help me with.
1)   Is my clutch getting weak, or do 944s seem to like to be started at
2000 RPM or more (in first gear) for a smoother get away, otherwise it feels
2004 Boxster infrared intrusion alarm question...18 Jul 2004 02:15 GMT3
Can someone describe under what circumstance the infrared alarm can be
triggered? Its range seems so limited that it makes it almost useless!
I ask this because the only way I can get it to go off is by putting
the top up, leaving the windows down, then reaching waaaaaaayyy into

Looking for a 1987 924S Speedometer18 Jul 2004 00:05 GMT3
My speedometer odometer has stopped recording miles driven, however, the
speedo works.  I'm looking for a used speedo with a working odometer.
Pelican Parts and Parts Heaven do not have any.  I can get mine rebuilt for
about $150.
Seat Covers16 Jul 2004 07:36 GMT3
Anyone know where the best deal can be had for leather seat covers for a
1985 911 Targa. I've just spent two hours online and there seems to be
all sorts of options. Love to hear from someone who found a dependable
source at a good price. Also . .  can't seem to find anyone with a
Boxster A/C question..15 Jul 2004 05:55 GMT6
I know the older 911's weren't the best for cold A/C.  Does anyone know
how efficient the Boxster's are?  It's in the 90's here about 4 months
out of the year.  Thanks.

New boxster14 Jul 2004 23:26 GMT14
Does anyone know when the new Porsche Boxster model is due. I understood it
was early 2005 but there is an article in the current Car magazine
indicating it won't be till 2010.
912 question10 Jul 2004 17:57 GMT1
A lady on "Car Talk" today said the windows on her 912E were clouding
up on the inside.  Click & Clack told her to remove heater core, or
route around it.  The only 912 I ever saw was a 911 lookalike with a 4
cylinder aircooled engine. ?????
Does Porsche deserve "all 10's" ?10 Jul 2004 08:31 GMT7
In 2000 I bought a 2000 996. When I bought it, the sales lady said that
in the near future someone from Porsche would be calling me and asking a
number of questions about the sales experience and that I would be asked to
answer each question with a number between 1-10, where ...

16" Porsche wheels forsale03 Jul 2004 22:14 GMT1
I have some Porsche wheels with tires that I am helping a friend sell.
These are 16" wheels which would have been original equipment on a 964
model 911.
The wheels are in good shape with a few scratches. One is missing its
914 conversion questions.02 Jul 2004 18:03 GMT3
Having driven a friends restored 914 2.0, i am considering purchasing one of
my own.  I would like to do a 6cyl conversion on the car, and include GT
fender flares.  I have several questions in this matter.
1.  Should i purchase an already restored 914 to do the conversion with, or
