C4C in snow29 Nov 2006 18:07 GMT1
Started snowing heavily as I was driving to the grocery today.  My 997 C4C
with standard tires didn't miss a beat even in places where there was
serious slush.
Porsche Boxter in heavy traffic28 Nov 2006 21:57 GMT8
Is it hard to drive a 2007 Porsche Boxter in heavy Santa Monica
traffic?  I'm inquiring about the 6 speed manual version.  I'm good at
driving a car with a manual but every manual trasmission car is
different.  Is it difficult to inch along in heavy traffic with such a

Hi everybody, I am driving a 911 (996 C4 10/01). I heard about  engine
problems once the car has made more Km 80.000. Is anybody aware of this
problem? I a from Italy and it looks like this problem is happening
quite often. Thanks to everybody

Found one that looks pretty good. Engine sounded good and ran well too.
Needs a new battery and tires from what I could tell. Quoting $ 4,000
for it, and I dunno what to do.
The trader didn't know how big the engine was. I thought it was 2.7

Purchasing a new Porsche18 Nov 2006 02:27 GMT3
Hello.  I would like to get a new Porsche Carerra S.  Let's say if I
have about $300,000 USD in a bank account.  Would it be possible to
just write a personal check for the car for the full amount or would
there be a waiting period of 24 hours for the check to clear?  On the

Drop me a line with any interest. Thanks, Joe.
Drivetrains07 Nov 2006 02:37 GMT1
i'm car novice, so bare with me (if my question may seem stupid)
my question is drivetrains: hypothetically, if one was blind-folded behind
the wheel of various sportscars....
could one determine the drivetrain...simply by feel/sound etc?
tune up parts06 Nov 2006 13:25 GMT1
Where have you's guys been buying your tune-up parts?  I was getting
them from eurowebparts, but they seem to be having problems with their
site (and I've emailed them with no response).  They were nice and
cheap, since they were only a warehouser middleman.
944 of 198905 Nov 2006 09:57 GMT4
Went looking up a used 1989 944 that had clocked 84000 km. The owner's
quoting $5,400. I took it for a spin around the block and the engine
felt ok though the wheel alignment/balancing appeared off.
Is that kinduva price ok for it? I'm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates...
Where do 928 people hang out on the web?01 Nov 2006 21:37 GMT4
I traded my 1981 928 in on a 951 in 86, switched brands in 91 when that
went off lease, and have been suffering Porscheless since then. Lately
I am getting a bit of an itch for another 928, but not quite to the
point where I want to pay to join a club like Rennlist or 928OC, where
C Frame stuff01 Nov 2006 13:53 GMT1
I have an elderly 911 about which I've been informed (at her latest
annual inspection - she is really a she, tempermental but when she's on
the ball, oh boy - is everything fantastic or what! But... when she's
tempermental then life can be a bitch. Which ever way it goes she is
